If I could leave a no star review I would...food was horrible, everything on the buffet was hard/old. And even though we were in there for less than 10 minutes and ate maybe a cups worth of food each we were charged $35!!! Never going again

Good food.

So good, and at a reasonable price unlike much of the other areas.

Good food, long time business, over 40 years. The service is great and it has a very traditional atmosphere.

Not sure why someone below had horrible experience with this place, which almost made me not to go. I finally decided to go because Seward does not have many choices of Asian foods.I went to lunch buffet today. It is surprising good. There are more than 10 dish choices, including fruits, two types of soups, one shrimp dish, beef, chicken, Tofu, noodles and rice etc. As native Chinese, i think this place is above average of Chinese foods in US. Better than those in Anchorage. Also the price is only $10.95. Please remember, the cost of burger in Seward is $15. Lady owner tried to reach out, and asked if we need anything.

Get the Seafood Noodle soup!

Probably the most reasonably priced place in this town. Wonderful service and large portions! It was a great experience for me and my family (6 total).

Food is very good (and no MSG)!! Very fresh tasting! Wonderful choices on the lunch buffet and items on the menu are great too. LOVED the Almond Chicken!

Too salty and hairy .. More than once I found hair in my food. Since Oriental Garden closed down , Nobody and I mean nobody else can come close to the Garden. if you love salt, hair and grease . Then this would be the place just for you

Our party has a few native Chinese members and a couple American folks. We all disliked the food here. It was a hodge podge of ingredients, barely cooked, and drenched in a brown sauce that tasted like they used a pound of salt. Every single dish was like that. I’d like to mention that we are not picky eaters by any means, but these dishes managed to suppress our appetite, rendering us unable to finish our food. Although the service was not bad, the waitress was attentive, and dishes came out fast, we all came out unsatisfied. We decided to post this review to warn future travelers to stay away from this restaurant, because the food is truly horrible.

The yummiest Chinese food I had in Seward!! When you look at it from outside it might deceive you but it's beautiful inside. I was craving some hot soup and ordered their tofu soup which was made without egg and it was one of the best soups of my life :) spicy n hot just what I needed :) do try it out..!

Very nice staff and good service

live in Seward, Alaska and love the Peking... great soups, appetizers and entrees... traditionally cooked food... owners run it themselves and are always there to greet you and make your experience delightful!!!

Not a great vegetarian selection on the menu, but they were willing to make some of the chicken dishes with tofu instead. Mimi (the owner) came out after our order was submitted to ask if we were vegetarian and if egg was okay. That was a sweet touch. The fried rice was great, not too greasy. The sesame tofu was good, but does not come with veggies. It was just tofu in sauce. It is a cozy spot, warmly decorated and with nice toddler cups (better put together than the basic lid on cup that the wee one can just rip off and dump).update: we went for lunch buffet today. The buffet is heavy on meat, but the veggie options were good and enough to keep us quite happy.

The hot and sour soup was INCREDIBLE...the best I've ever tasted. And the owners/workers were super sweet! 5 stars, hands down.

Egg Foo Young was mushy and fakey light brown gravy. The chicken chow mein and fried rice were just ok. I did love that they have booths. Fortune cookies are sitting in a big, open bowl at the cash register. Not individually wrapped. Yuk!

Food very fresh. Good selection of traditional chinese entrees.

Amazing buffet, friendly service , n operated by the owners
Andrew Scarff
Had a combination plate which was fine apart from the chow mein which wasn't great. Service was pretty quick though and satisfied the urge for Chinese food.

80 dollars for lunch buffet with 3 kids and 2 adults. Not a cheap place.

Great food, veggie options available. This restaurant is at first end of downtown towards Seward. Huge portions, Chinese owners and authentic food.
Clint Waddell
Very good food.
Yuchen Wu
Very friendly service, but food isn't authentic Chinese.
Stephanie Huff
Fantastic place. Food is always fresh and hot. The people are very friendly. Very clean place.

Family owned restaurant, large portions with the standard American-Chinese menu and decor. Personal preference I'd give it a 3-star rating, but for most people I think they'll really enjoy the restaurant so I gave them 4.

Our food was very tasty. The Mongolian Beef was our favorite dish. Grandmother our server was a little slow but the food came fast and generous servings. We will eat there again.
Kristopher Schmal
Great food and good service at reasonable prices. Be sure to stop in on your visit to Seward.
Sarah Spanos
Hot and Sour soup, perfect defense against my cold. Mongolian Beef is the best ever!!!
Mary Butcher
Went for the lunch buffet. It was very small. Not many choices. Service was decent. Lady running the place seemed to not be in a good mood. Wouldn't go back.

what if I didn't want the chicken soup Mimi? Thanks for letting me decide. 🤦ðŸ½â€â™€ï¸

4 of us guys were starving and we ordered a family meal. Wow....we ate till we were stuffed and still brought 3 containers of food to camp.

Seward is an amazing town but a trip to this little spot really put an emphasis on the trip. Food was spectacular and on point as Chinese food goes. Coming from LA, a town not short on Chinese food, I can tell ya that I'd eat here again in a heartbeat.
Bill Cibart
Really enjoyed the food it was great good all you can eat

Food was delicious and all, and the lady was kind but I'm rating it so poorly because most of the food was cold.
Debbie Norris
Nice sunday buffet. Friendly staff
Zhan Wang
Awful food, irrelevant with Chinese at all. Kung Pao chicken is completely wrong. It's like stewed beef called steak on the menu. Never served the iced water we asked.
Y Zhao
Just a quick FYI, it’s 12.95 lunch buffet right now, and I take 0 responsibility if their price ever changes.

Nice and cozy place with fine Buffet, the selection is a bit limited though. The owner lady is very nice and friendly, who helped to mail our glasses that were lost there after we left the town! I would go back again next time there!
John Santora
Tried the lunch buffet and the food was very good! Loved the egg fu young and hot and sour soup. It's kind of a quirky place - our server was a kid who didn't know what lemon flavored ice tea was even though they carried it. Also, he never came for our used plates and none of the foods at the buffet were marked to let you know what it was....but the food was that good!

Excellent restaurant
